Weekend plans: April 26- 28th

It's Thursday! Which means it's time to get a move on those weekend plans! Here are my picks: 

All Weekend

Denton Arts & Jazz Festival

When: Friday starting at 5, Saturday starting at 10 AM, and Sunday starting at 11 AM 
Where: Quakertown Park, 321 E. McKinney Street, Denton Texas
Cost: Free! 
The scoop: Denton is an amazing arts community, and the Jazz fest is a celebration of all things music, dance and art. Your best bet for transportation is a Family Fun Pass taking the DCTA's A Train!


Saturday 


When: Saturday from 11 AM to Sunset 
Where: Tandy Hills Nature Area, 3400 View Street, Fort Worth 76103
Cost: Free! 
The scoop: This is the 8th annual Prairie Fest! Wildflower hikes, science activities, solar powered music and family friendly fun!


When: Saturday 4-6 Pm 
Where: Klyde Warren Park, 2012 Woodall Rogers Freeway, Dallas Texas
Cost: Free! 
The scoop: Celebrate literacy! Bring a book and enjoy the gorgeous Klyde Warren Park with fellow book lovers. The group will be reading Farenheit 451 aloud, but you're welcome to bring whatever you happen to be devouring right now. 


Sunday 

West Benefit Concert

When: Sunday, 4-10 PM 
Where: AT&T Performing Arts Center, 1800 Leonard Street, Dallas Texas
Cost: $20
The scoop: Local vendors and musicians are teaming up in the beautiful AT&T Performing Arts center to raise funds for residents in West, Texas. All proceeds will go to the Communities Foundation of Texas, which will distribute the funds amount non-profits focusing on food, clothing, shelter and counseling services. 

I'll be heading to Austin at some point for the 50th celebration of Eeyores Birthday with one of my besties! I promise to report back :0)
