Weekend Re-Cap!

Whew! We had a busy, but super fun, weekend! Here's what we did:

 

Friday:

We like to take Friday evenings easy, so we grabbed sushi with Sarah and watched Inglorious Bastards at our house. If you like Tarintino films and haven't seen Inglorious Bastards do yourself a favor and watch it- it's one of my favorite offensive 'guy' movies :0) Plus the way Brad Pitt says nahzies is kind of amazing.

Saturday:

 

On Saturday morning we headed out to BRIT for their monthly farmers market. Some of our favorite local vendors were there, including Cold Springs Farms which is our CSA. If you're interested in a spring or summer CSA I'd HIGHLY recommend checking them out.

 

In a Pickle also attended. Their Sweet and Spicy pickles make me so so happy. And this Strawberry Vanilla Jam is now totally my jam. HA!

 

The Bluebonnets are out in full bloom :0) There is very little prettier than Texas wildflowers.

 

Saturday afternoon was spent snuggling with this monster. And napping.

 

On Saturday night we celebrated Arthur and Elvira's birthday! Because a lady never tells her age I didn't ask :0)

 

The hubs and I

 

Arthur is an EXCELLENT cook and made a vegetarian dish just for me. I can't remember what it's called in Spanish, but it was basically like Mexican Frito pie. SO good!

 

Sunday:

 

Oh what a day Sunday was! The hubs and I are having a brick patio installed in the back yard, but really wanted reclaimed brick. Have you ever tried to find a big batch of reclaimed brick? Impossible to find and afford. Until the Gregs Craigs List that is. On Saturday evening we saw a post for 2,100 reclaimed brick at a low low low price of $.25 each. One rented truck later and we spent Sunday moving them to their new home.

 

 

This is about 2/3 of the total haul.

Sunday evening was reserved for a very special occasion: Our goddaughter's 1st birthday! These pictures were taken by her momma, Cowtown Camera Girl, and are just too precious not to share.
